Update as of 4/22/2014:  I am $84 away from my goal!!!

For a 3rd consecutive year, I am joining the World Affairs CouncilWorldrunners‘ team via the Pittsburgh Marathon (may 4, 2014).  Together, we raise money to bring the World Affairs Council’s award-winning programs and activities to under-served schools through the Pittsburgh region.  These include global education programs for middle school students such as the Student Ambassador Program and programs for high school students such as International Student Summits, and the Global Travel Scholarship Program.

The team is created and together we will raise $1000 ($200 a person).  However, you can still create your OWN team for the same cause.  Check out the perks (the #1 being that we are running for charity).

  • FREE Pittsburgh Marathon / Half Marathon / Relay Team registration
  • WorldRunners t-shirt
  • Regularly scheduled team runs
  • Weekly e-mails with running tips and team updates.
  • Free Steel City Road Runner Club memberships for those living in/near Pittsburgh and registered by February 1st
  • The World Affairs Council will also host team happy hours and award prizes for fundraising throughout the year. Being a member of the team offers many opportunities to connect with fellow active and globally-minded Pittsburgher’s.
