Aging Population: 2014 Style – FREE TRAINING 3/17

You are invited to attend a FREE aging sensitivity training offered through the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work, and the UPMC Aging Institute!
Ageless Wisdom: A Sensitivity Program to Understand Aging is offered through the Aging Institute of UPMC Senior Services and the University of Pittsburgh. This interactive and experiential geriatric sensitivity training program prepares volunteers to be sensitive to the many health and social issues that older adults often face.
The training will be delivered by A.C.T. for Elders, a pilot project developed by graduate fellows in the Hartford Partnership Program on Aging Education (HPPAE) at the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work. This project that aims to increase the number of activities and complementary therapies available to elders in facility settings through aging education, and by building volunteer connections within the community.
The training will take place on Monday, March 17 from 4:30 – 7 pm on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh (2017 Cathedral of Learning). LSW/LCSW, LPC and LMFTCEUs are available through the School of Social Work’s Office of Continuing Education.
